Group Controller

Eurogate Group
With an established presence in 11 countries, Eurogate has developed a complex pan-European logistics solutions portfolio, incorporating road, rail, sea and air services. We currently employ almost 180 people in 11 countries across Europe and the former Soviet Union. Our current workforce comprises 15 nationalities, speaking more than 20 languages. We are always looking out for driven and intelligent staff members to join our team.

Group Finance department
Our Group Finance Function is based in Hungary and carries the responsibility to oversee and manage all financial matters of the Group divided over the following fields: Accounting, Tax & Legal; Planning & Controlling; Internal Audit and Finance & Treasury. The Function is currently under development and this is why we are looking for an experienced controller to deal primarily with the following matters:
- Preparation of the Consolidated Annual Statements under IFRS;
- Managing the annual closing process;
- Managing the internal management reporting process;
- Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process;
- Contact with group auditor
- Pro-actively identifying financial and business issues and proposing solutions

Besides the above, obviously you may have to deal with other financial matters.

Profile
We expect candidates to meet the following profile:
- Experience with preparing (consolidated) financial statements under IFRS or similar international accounting standard
- Experience in managing and preparing (consolidated) group management reporting
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good knowledge and experience with automated accounting systems (Exact E-Synergy is an advantage) preferably with respect to consolidated financial statements under group accounting standards
- At least 5 years experience within a multinational group
- Experience at a big four company (together with controller experience) is an advantage
- University or Finance College qualification
- Fluency in (business) English
- Pro-active and effective communicator, meeting deadlines (getting things done in time)
- Afinity with a multi-cultural background
